why clinics keep our number on the fridge

Referral-quality imaging, without the referral trip

Your patient never leaves

No carrier ride across town, no handoff to a stranger. We scan in your exam room with your team around, and the pet goes back to its blanket.

Specialty standards, clinic pricing

Sono On-Site was started to make high-quality diagnostic imaging affordable for clinics and their clients, without lowering the bar on how the study is done.

A report you can act on

Every study is reviewed by a boarded radiologist or cardiologist. You get a written interpretation, not just images, usually by this time tomorrow.

From your call to the report, in four steps

We work by appointment and keep it simple on your end. Here is what happens after you reach out.

  1. Tell us about the patient

Email or call with the species, the clinical question and any bloodwork or rads you already have.

  2. We book a visit

Tampa, Clearwater and St. Petersburg. We confirm a time that fits your schedule, not ours.

  3. We scan in your clinic

The study is done on-site with your staff. You can watch, ask questions and keep the client in the loop.

  4. A specialist reads it

Images go to a boarded radiologist or cardiologist. Standard reports come back within 24 hours.

Diagnostic ultrasound

Abdominal, cervical and specific thoracic examinations, performed by Megan Gonzalez, CVT, VTS‑DI.

Often the right call for

  • Vomiting, diarrhea or weight loss that won't settle
  • Abnormal liver, kidney or pancreatic values
  • Suspected masses or free fluid
  • Urinary issues and bladder stones
  • Thyroid and neck evaluations
  • Pleural effusion and non-cardiac chest findings

How it is done

A full survey of the region in question, with targeted views of anything that looks off, so the radiologist has what they need to answer your question.

the people behind the probe

Two technicians who chose this work on purpose

Both hold a Veterinary Technician Specialty, the advanced credential in their discipline, earned through years of case work and examination. Both still get down on the floor to say hello first.

CVT, VTS‑DI. Owner, diagnostic imaging

Ten years as a certified veterinary technician, the last eight in radiology, training and working alongside board-certified radiologists at a specialty and emergency referral practice. Abdominal, cervical and thoracic ultrasound, plus CT and MRI.

More about Megan

Megan earned her VTS in Diagnostic Imaging in 2024, serves on AVTDI board committees and lectures on ultrasound and radiology safety. She started Sono On-Site so clinics could offer the imaging she saw in specialty practice without sending every case across town.

Every study is read by a boarded specialist

Images are sent through eIMAGING to a board-certified radiologist or cardiologist. Standard reports come back within 24 hours. The one exception: cardiac studies performed on a Friday are reported the following Monday.
